7 Steps to Achieving your dream

Then the Lord answered me and said: “Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry. - Habakkuk 2:1-2

7 Steps to Achieve Success

- Where there is no vision, the people perish Proverbs 29:18 KJV

Step 1: Dream it.

Everything begins in the heart and mind. Every great achievement began in the mind of one person. They dared to dream, to believe that it was possible.

As a man thinks in his heart, so is he proverbs 23:7

One of the most amazing gifts that God has given us the human mind. The ability to learn, think, choose, and reason is the essence of what makes us human. While the ability to think makes us human, it actually goes deeper.

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. Romans 12:2

Think big. Don’t let negative thinking discourage you. If you had a dream that you let grow cold, re-ignite the dream! Fan the flames. Life is too short to let it go.

Step 2: Believe it.

Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”Mark 9:23 NLV.

If you believe it is possible, it will happen. Whatever you focus on expands. That picture becomes the new point of focus, your target, your measurable destination. Now you know exactly where you’re going.

And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him. Hebrews 11:6

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. - Mark 11:24

Yes, your dream needs to be big. It needs to be something that is seemingly beyond your capabilities. But it also must be believable. You must be able to say that if certain things take place, if others help, if you work hard enough, though it is a big dream, it can still be done.

Step 3: See it.

The man who has no imagination has no wings.” —Mohammad Ali

LOOK BEYOND THE VISIBLE “We live by faith, not by sight.” (2 Corinthians 5:7 NIV).

See yourself as happy, strong and satisfied, and imagine all the good things you plan to do.

Refocus—It’s easy to get so caught up in the circumstances of life that we feel consumed by them. But if we can take a step back, look at the bigger picture.

The visualization definition is simple: it involves creating mental images of the things you want.

The great achievers have a habit. They “see” things. They picture themselves, It’s like the architect who first sees the building in his mind before the physical structure is built.

Picture yourself walking around your CEO office in your new $25 million corporate headquarters, even while they are sitting on a folding chair in your garage “headquarters.” Great free-throw shooters in the NBA picture the ball going through the basket. PGA golfers picture the ball going straight down the fairway.

WHAT DO YOU SEE?

Your vision will define your future.

God asked Jeremiah, “What do you see?” (Jeremiah 1:11-12). Your dominant vision will determine your eventual outcome. All some people have is picture of gloom and doom. No wonder their life is filled with what they see.

Jesus said, “Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest!” (John 4:35). What do you see?

Step 4: Tell it.

Matthew 12:34 for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.

One reason many dreams never go anywhere is because the dreamer keeps it all to himself. It is a quiet dream that only lives inside of his mind.

Proverbs 18:21 says that life and death are in the power of the tongue.

The one who wants to achieve their dream must tell that dream to many people. One reason: As we continually say it, we begin to believe it more and more.

Hebrews 10:23, ESV: Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.

Joel 3:10 let the weak say, I am strong.

Step 5: Plan it.

Break the whole Dream down into small, workable parts. Then set a time frame for accomplishing each task on your “dream plan.”

“Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it. - Habakkuk 2:1

Every dream must take the form of a plan.

Plan

- A detailed, proposal to archive something

- A plan of Action

- Agenda

Proverbs 16:9 – The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord has establishes his steps.

Before you build anything in life you need a plan, if you don’t plan someone will plan for you so you have to be the architect of your life and you have to be creative

* Proverbs 16:3 – Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.

God is a planner

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. - Jeremiah 29:11

Proverbs 15:22 – Without counsel plans fail, but with many advisers, they succeed.

Psalms 20:4 – May he grant you your heart's desire and fulfill all your plans

Step 6: Work it.

The successful are usually the hardest workers. While the rest of the world is sitting on their sofas watching Netflix , achievers are working on their goal

Take a lesson from the ants, you lazybones. Learn from their ways and become wise! Though they have no prince or governor or ruler to make them work, they labor hard all summer, gathering food for the winter. Proverbs 6:6-8

God's Word makes it very clear that we are instructed to work hard and put our best effort forward.

Lazy hands make for poverty, but diligent hands bring wealth. Proverbs 10:4

- NLT Lazy people are soon poor; hard workers get rich.

Excellence must be modeled. you can’t expect, excellence if you don’t model excellence. Be the embodiment of your expectations.

All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty. Proverbs 14:23

Excellence is a continuous process and not an accident. It is always the result of a commitment to excellence, intelligent planning, and focused effort.

We are supposed to be champions rather than losers, players rather than spectators, news makers rather than news readers. We need to work hard, be productive and pray towards achieving this goal.

* I speak success, excellence and distinction to every work of your hands and break limits and restrictions to your divine manifestation in Jesus name

Step 7 :wait.

This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed. Habakuk 2:2

God promises to work all things out for our good, not just the things that feel good. He will use both the blessings and struggles of life to accomplish His purpose.

Isaiah 60:22 “When the time is right, I the Lord, will make it happen”.

You may not feel it, but God is working in your life. The waiting season is the space where God does His best work in you, to prepare you for what comes next.

Isaiah 40:31 “Those who wait on the Lord Shall Renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.” (NKJV)

An attitude of praise strengthens patience. God is transforming you in this season of waiting. Believe that His timing is best, and let worship soften your heart today.

And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.” (Galatians 6:9)

Psalm 46:10  “Be still, and know that I am God.” (NIV)

Lamentations 3:25 “The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him.” (ESV)

JESUS HAS HEARD YOUR PRAYERS

I went to the bank by the ATM to get some cash and as I started to transact, the atm showed me an inscription which said, "Please insert your card". Likewise I did insert the card and then another message came, please enter your pin code which I did. Another message came saying elect the amount, I did that too. After I had done all this the ATM showed me a message in BOLD letters

YOUR TRANSACTION IS BEING PROCESSED, PLEASE WAIT

Allow me to say, likewise, you have done all these things, you have probably prayed, you have fasted, but it seems as if nothing is happening in your life. Allow me to say to you, wait patiently don't give up, don't move because your request is being processed. WAIT!

Let me tell you ..What made me wait is because my card was already in the ATM machine and I had already entered my pin code.

God hasn't replied not because your messages aren't heard, not because your prayers are irrelevant, not because your fasting is meaningless..but because YOUR TRANSACTION IS BEING PROCESSED

Wait and murmur not. Do not think you were born to suffer.. Your prayers are being processed. I Know it's not easy but I encourage you ..WAIT!!

Remember JESUS received the news about the sickness of Lazarus and He delayed going until the body had been buried and now stinking.

YOUR TRANSACTION IS BEING PROCESSED PLEASE WAIT.

Romans 8:24-25 NIV But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently

When you have reached your goal and you are living your dream, be sure to enjoy it. In fact, enjoy the trip, too. Give yourself some rewards along the way. Give yourself a huge reward when you get there. Help others enjoy it. Be gracious and generous. Use your dream to better others. Then go back to No. 1. And dream a little bigger this time!

A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. What you say flows from what is in your heart. - Luke 6:45

The old saying that you “get what you plan for” is so true. Your dream won’t just happen. You need to sit down, on a regular basis, and plan out your strategy for achieving the dream. Think through all of the details.
